Rolling out the kinks
Foam rollers are relatively new to me. I first saw an article on foam rolling through a pin on Pinterest and was fascinated so I did a little more research on them and discovered a whole new world for tension relief and an easy way to work out sore and stiff muscles.
Even with all my good intentions, I don’t always remember to do some rolling before bedtime, but it really is so easy to include in your daily routine that I would recommend looking into it. Here are the top reasons I try to keep up my foam rolling routine:
- It’s great for sore muscles after a workout
- Relieves tension and loosens tight muscles such as that pesky ITB
- Helps with my recurring glute injury
- It can help with cellulite ladies! Check out this post I came across
There are various kinds of foam rollers, but I just use a plain smooth roller, mostly because I couldn’t find any other. Once you’ve decided what kind of roller you want, then it can seem a little awkward on what to actually do with it. I was going to put together a guide, but decided instead to paste the guide that I used initially as a starter because it was so helpful.
If you get bored with your roller quickly, there’s always Pinterest to provide more info on what to actually do with your roller!
